SASHA AND IRENE

Harmony lies in contrasts,

counterpoints, polyphony,

upright lines linked but left

alluring, outlined in

independent shadow,

in challenge to the

sun seemingly omnipotent;

it’s easy to underestimate

ourselves, fail to strike

our necessary poses,

remind of our might

sealed in steely gaze,

so be reminded:

even when we separate,

our skin, your warmth

on it lingering,

glows.
